Manuel Zehnder to SC Magdeburg
Saga of Manuel Zehnder and HC Erlangen is over. The TOP scorer of German Bundesliga in season 2023/2024 in jersey of Eisenach, where he played as loaned player, will move to German champions SC Magdeburg.
The 24-years od Swiss playmaker has signed two-years contract:
“Unfortunately, Felix Claar also returned from the Olympic Games with an injury. Since we cannot currently estimate the time he will be out of action, but must assume several months, we are very lucky to be able to sign Manuel Zehnder, a first-class attacking player, for the SCM at short notice. We see it as our responsibility to set up our team as best as possible for all competitions and to react flexibly to absences. We have continuously developed this ability over the past few years. With Manuel Zehnder, we are not only getting the best HBL scorer of the previous season. His style of play is also a perfect fit for SC Magdeburg. In addition, at 24, Manuel is still fully developing so the signing is also a perspective decision for the SCM. I want to thank HC Erlangen very much for their constructive contribution to this transfer and thus ultimately made the move possible. We would also like to thank our DIAMOND PARTNER and long-standing main sponsor Dr. Karl Gerhold – GETEC Energie Holding GmbH, who once again supported us with this important transfer.”, said SCM coach Bennet Wiegert.
