Poland at TOP 8, Rasmussen: Big moment for Polish handball

Polish girls are on the way of the biggest success in the history. After turnover against Romania, team of Kim Rasmussen is in 1/4 final where Poland will face France on Wednesday. Interesting fact is that biggest success in Polish women’s handball history is connected with the same country and city of Belgrade, where Poland won 5th place exactly 40 years ago – in 1973!

– I don’ know what to say about our play. Our game said everything. You saw that on the court. This is a huge step and a moment for a Polish handball. I am still full of emotions – said Danish coach on Polish bench and comment the next rival – France:

– We need time to become aware of what we have done and than we can analyse our next rival. We will persist to play on the same level as we played through whole tournament. That means defense and only defense – said Polish head-coach Kim Rasmussen.
