Predrag Bošković to Remain at Liberty During Investigation

The current Vice President of the European Handball Federation (EHF) and member of the IHF Council, Predrag Bošković, has been released to defend himself from liberty after being detained on Monday in Montenegro on the order of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT).

The former Minister of Defense and high-ranking official of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) was placed under supervisory measures, including the obligation to regularly report to the relevant authorities, according to Montenegrin media.

He had previously been held for up to 72 hours on the prosecutor’s order, after being arrested at Podgorica Airport in connection with an investigation involving already-arrested businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović.

His lawyer, Mihailo Volkov, stated that Bošković is accused of the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, but that the suspect gave a brief statement in his defense and denied the charges.
