Rivera leads Qatar to France 2017 without some big names!

The Qatari national team coach Valero Rivera decided to change a profile of his team after Olympic Games in Rio and before World Championship 2017 in France. Despite Spaniard has still a full support of QHF, quarter-final placement at Olympic Games didn’t make handball people in Doha totally satisfied, after same team won silver medal at World Championship 2015 on home soil.

Rivera decided to go to France without some important members of the squad like goalkeeper Goran Stojanovic, right back Zarko Markovic and line-player Borja Vidal.

Denmark, Sweden, Egypt, Bahrain and Argentina will be rivals of Qatar in Preliminary Round. Four best teams will qualify for the knock-out stage.
