Serbian “Jumbo Jet” Strahinja Milic goes to Vardar Skopje!

Five days after HC Partizan Belgrade sold one of the best players, left back, Ivan Dimitrijevic (22) to German VfL Gummersbach, another transfer from Belgrade has been made.  Third goalkeeper of silver Serbian NT at the EHF EURO 2012, Strahinja Milic (21) going to Vardar Skopje. Macedonian team sold Borko Ristovski to VfL Gummersbach, got 120.000 EUR from that transfer and looked for some fast replacement. Milic, who is called “Jumbo”, because of his sizes (199 cm – 120 kg) was the most interesting and according to Serbian media, sum for his freedom is 18.000 EUR.

Milic is the last “wunderkind” of Serbian handball. He started to play for the NT with 16,5 years. When he was 17, he moved to Danish BSV Silkeborg, but after two knee operations, got back to Serbia – HC Partizan.
