After the EHF inspection in Belgrade on the conditions of the Arena, the EHF representatives were generally satisfied, but the visit left the Serbian federation unsatisfied. According to Bozidar Djurkovic, the Secretary General of the Serbian Handball Federation, the remarks made by EHF are unnecessary, and will require time and money of about 50,000 Euros, for things that already exist in the Arena, says Djurkovic. He explained that it was requested by the EHF to move the commentating positions, while at the same time the same planning was used to host the Final of the European Championship in Basketball and the final of the Davis Cup, and that the places have internet and power supply. If the requests become a condition ‘sine qua non’ the European Championship, then Djurkovic said that they will ask that to Belgrade comes Michael Wiederer, the Sec Gen of the EHF.
