Snorri Gudjonsson is with the feet on the ground after fourth win of Iceland in a row at the World Championship 2025 in Zagreb. Palmarsson and Halgrimsson led their team to another win against big rival. This time Icelanders beat Egypt 27:24 to make even bolder win over Slovenia in Preliminary Round. Still two matches for the quarter-final, but the next is the crucial against home team of Croatia in front of 15.000 fans in the capital city.

- Pretty good so far. Really good performance of my team. We played really good defense thourh 60 minutes, caused them a lot of problem with really good Viktor behind. Just great performance of my team. For every team goalkeeper is important. He is really good goalkeeper, still young, can be even better, but now is goal to stay focus, we still have two more games, we have only 6 points, we need more. We can’t go too high. We need to stay focus and continue to play on this level.
Croatia is the next rival…
- Yes, job is not done. Difficult game ahead against great team and great coach. A lot of respect for Croatia, they will have crowd behind, it will be tough.
