Telekom Veszprem are back to SEHA Gazprom League

Two times SEHA champions, Hungarian champions and EHF Champions League finalists, Telekom Veszprem, will once again join SEHA – Gazprom League. On Wednesday, 12th of June, SEHA and Handball Club Telekom Veszprem signed a new contract for the upcoming, 2019/2020 season. The Hungarian club was a part of the regional league for three seasons, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017, and won two gold medals as well as one silver medal.

“We have been negotiating for a long time. Now, officially we can say that Handball Club Telekom Veszprem will play in the upcoming season of the SEHA – Gazprom League. This is a mutually beneficial deal, for the club and for the League. We are really happy because both Champions League finalists of 2018/2019 season will be part of our League next season. My opinion is that the upcoming season will be very interesting and it will be a challenge for us to organize everything, but we are on a good path“, said Sinisa Ostoic, SEHA – Gazprom League’ Managing Director.

“We are satisfied and very happy that we are again participating in the SEHA League. We haven’t played last two years when we haven’t been part of the League. SEHA has changed the playing system, it’s absolutely good for us and we are ready to go in. It’s important for us because SEHA League is a very strong League with very good teams“, said Dr. Zoltan Csik, Telekom Veszprem’ Managing Director.
