THRILLER: Dutch girls miss knock-out stage against Korea in last second!

It was a real thriller between Netherlands and South Korea ended 32:32 (18:17) at Future Arena in Rio! The Dutch girls, silver team from the last World Championship 2015 in Denmark, had to offer more in this match, but only its last part, when Koreans made the crucial come back from -4 – 29:25, to turnover result on 29:30 thanks to fantastic playmaker Gwon Han Na, who scored 11 goals, and was absolutely No. 1 girl on the court last night.

However, Lois Abbingh had a chance to bring her team second win, but she missed 7-meter throw in the last second of the match!

Groot and Broch have been  TOP scorers for the Dutch team with seven goals each.

Race for knock-out stage stay open!

For the end of Day 3 at Women’s tournament, France had easy job against poor Argentina 27:11, the only “exotic” team in Rio. Houette scored eight goals for the winners, while Campigli scored four among South American girls.
