Timur Dibirov about Vardar’s future: Raul Gonzales made machine which can work even without him

RK Vardar Skopje left wing, Timur Dibirov, believes that his team will stay among the best teams in Europe. The 34-years old flying Russian talked for Balkan-Handball.com just after winning the SEHA Gazprom League trophy in Skopje, about future after “era of Raul Gonzales”:

– I do not agree, you know why? The most important thing Raul did was to make a machine from this club, an institution that can work without him, without Arpad, me, other players. Raul leaves, we know what coach we are talking about, but this machine just needs to continue working, working, working. I do not expect that Vardar will be weaker. We will go up, we want to continue. We all say that Kiel or Barcelona are institutions. While we have such support from the State, fans, the entire Balkans, why not? – said Dibirov and confirmed that his plans are linked with staying in Skopje in team which won’t be “Russian” as media writing:
– Yes. Why a lot of Russian? That’s all speculation, that’s not true. Now, we are just like Serbs or Croats. Nevertheless, whether in Vardar one Russian player, three, the only important thing is result. So, we can talk about Spaniards and others. My plan is to help the club every day, and if the club has confidence in me, I will be happy to work this job for many years here – concluded Dibirov.

Arpad Sterbik (RK Vardar), Mijailo Marsenic (Fuchse Berlin), Luka Cindric (PGE Vive Kielce), coach Raul Gonzales (PSG Handball) will leave Skopje at the end of the season.
