SC Magdeburg are at the final of the EHF Champions League 2022/2023 Final!
The German vice-champions won epic battle over FC Barcelona after extra time 38:38 (16:18 – 31:31) and penalty shotout (3:1) in which Danish goalkeeper Mike Jensen had crucial role with saving shot of Ludovic Fabregas.
It was spectacular match at Lanxess Arena with many turnovers which led to the interesting finish.
Kay Smits netted 12 goals ahead of Michael Damgaard with 8.
On the Barca side N’Guessan scored 9 ahead of Gomez Abello with 8.
This is the first EHF Champions League final for Magdeburg since 2002 where they won the title against Veszprem.
