WC Qualifications: Russia slightly past Czech, Germany trashes BiH!

The first day of the World Championship Qualification phase took place, and the games brought us rather expected results. Russia had a hard job at home, as they only beat the Czech Republic by 1 goal, the score being 23:22 (11:12), and the second game in Czech Republic will surely bring us lots of interesting moments as Jicha and company will want to surprise Russia.

Slovenia and Macedonia both take 5 goals lead to Portugal and Austria respectively, as Slovenia won 31:26 (11:10), while Macedonia took a 26:21 (16:10) in the Boris Trajkovski Arena.

Germany went easily past Bosnia and Herzegovina winning 36:24 (18:7), while a small surprise happened in Slovakia as the host were beaten by strong Belarus side 24:26 (10:12) and will now have to seek better play at the second game in Belarus.
