Croatia won the gold medal at the first World Deaf Handball Championship in Samsun, Turkey. Croatian players showed that they are a level higher in comparation with other five teams who competed at tournament. Croats won five matches in the group and at the final match beat Turkey 34:18. Serbia won the bronze medal after victory over Russia 39:32.
