WORLD’S BEST COACH 2013 – ALFRED GISLASON!

Icelanders are staying on the TOP. The third year in a row the best World’s coach in Men’s handball coming from Iceland. Second year in a row that is THW Kiel’s head-coach Alfred Gislason who got the biggest support from 11 members of the international Handball-Planet.com Jury and 10.555 votes of the fans.

A 53 years old coach had succesful year with THW Kiel, the DKB Bundesliga champion second year in a row. The beginning of new era of „Zebras“ with some new players this Autumn began good, so Icelander could count on new trophies in the near future on the bench of the club in which he is working since 2008.

During Gislason’s time in THW Kiel, the most succesful German team in the last two decaded won EHF Champions League twice in 2010 and 2012 and took four national Championships.

The winnner in 2011 was his compatriot from Fuchse Berlin – Dagur Sigurdsson.
