FC Barcelona celebrated another away win which put Spanish champions ahead of the rivals in the race for the first place in Preliminary Round and direct place to the VELUX EHF Champions League quarter-finals. French Montpellier were too weak to endanger reigning EHF CL champion 31:23 (15:11).

Kiril Lazarov was the first shooter on the match with nine goals in the winning squad.
