Danish Handball Federation published the types of head protection after decision to allow their use in second league and under, but younger categories competition as well.
In recent times there has been a major debate about the use of head protection in Danish handball. So far it has been allowed for goalkeepers against dispensation (and against doctor’s note) to use head protection.
The Committee for Professional Handball earlier in February decided that from next season will no longer be required a medical certificate. Goalkeepers are therefore free to use head protection in the elite ranks, which, however, must be approved by DHF. For this purpose, DHF made a list of approved head protection.
DHF’s board will this weekend discuss the situation – and probably decide on how the regulatory framework in wide area concerning. head protection must be from the upcoming season..
