Amazing final of the VELUX EHF Champions League had heroes and losers. Both were at the PRESS Conference right after the match at Lanxess Arena:
-My players are my heroes. They fought, they believed in this victory! I want to congratulate Veszprem, they are big team, I have a lot of players in Hungarian NT, who are not only players – they are my friends. Hungarian handball is part of my heart. That’s why I am not 100% happy. Veszprem was better for 46 minutes. They played better, but my players showed a lot of character. They fought until the end. My players deserved this trophy 100% – said Talant Dujshebaev, Vive Tauron Kielce coach:
Xavi Sabate, Veszprem coach:
– We played at TOP level 45 minutes, but after we didn’t play good attack. We didn’t win match because attack, not in defense. Goalkeepers were very good. They saved important balls in key moments. Match last 60 minutes, not 59 or 45. I want to say that I am proud of my players job during whole season. I am sad because of them and fans who are amazing.
Tobias Reichmann, Kielce’s right wing:
– I don’t know what happened. We were down for nine goals. Veszprem controled the match. We made a break, we used our chances in attack. I am proud of the team, staff behind and fans who were staying behind us in every single moment.
Gabor Ivancsik, Veszprem’s left wing:
– I don’t know what happened in the last 15 minutes. I want to thanks to our friends here and at home. We will try next year.
