Luc Abalo is grateful: City, club and Sagosen support my arrival

Who could imagine that one of the biggest names on right win position, Luc Abalo, will practically finish his career far away from France, in Norwegian Elverum Handball?

  • I decided to join the club in Elverum, Norway, although other clubs have contacted me. Nils
(Kristian Myhre), the Sports Director, and Børge (Lund), the coach, convinced me by their
sporting project, and above all by their professionalism. I played against Elverum with PSG at Håkons Hall in Lillehammer in front of 12,000 people. The atmosphere, the encouragement of the Norwegian fans towards their team, the welcome we had, also helped me in my reflection. These are moments like this that I want to relive. I never thought I would play in Norway in my career. But I think this is the challenge I was waiting for without knowing it to continue to express myself in my game. Elverum is a young team, I will be able to bring my experience, in the championship but especially in the Champions League. We will do everything not to be an outsider but a team that scares and wins! I will work hard as I always did to continue with French National Team until the Olympics Games 2021. I thank the whole city of Elverum, the staff and the board of the Club, the sponsors and Sander Sagosen for their support to this project and my arrival – said Abalo.
