“‘I’d Gladly Hear Any Recipe for This Situation” – Talant Dujshebaev After Another Kielce Defeat
Polish handball giant Industria Kielce finds itself in one of the biggest crises in recent years when it comes to performances in the EHF Champions League.
The 2016 EHF Champions League winners have been struggling for the second consecutive season, and confirmation that something is not working within the team of the legendary Talant Dujshebaev came on Wednesday, when French side Nantes crushed the home team 35:27 in the Legionowo Arena.
It was the fourth straight defeat in this season’s elite European competition.
After the opening win against Kolstad, losses followed against Sporting, Füchse Berlin, Veszprém, and now Nantes.
The battle for a spot in the knockout phase remains the main goal, with Kolstad and Dinamo Bucharest as their main competitors.
Talant Dujshebaev, head coach of Industria Kielce:
“I’m sad after this game, just like after the matches against Füchse and last week against Veszprém. We still haven’t played a single match at a consistent level for the full 60 minutes. I’d be glad to hear any kind of recipe for this situation. We have to keep fighting — an important game awaits us on Sunday, and then another one on Thursday. We’re in a very tough group, and I always repeat that the goal is simply to get out of the group.”
