2025 WC Reaches the Knockout Stage: Norway Dominant, Sweden the Biggest Disappointment
Eight teams remain in the competition at the 2025 World Championship. With the exception of Sweden as the tournament’s biggest disappointment, all national teams that were expected to reach the quarter-finals have done so with more or less effort.
The reigning Olympic and European champions, Norway, look the most convincing on their way to completing another “triple crown,” by winning the title they lost two years ago when France defeated them.
On average, Norway beats its opponents by 17.83 goals, while conceding 18 goals per match. An impressive statistic.
