Montpellier Stay in Control of Champions League Race After Toulouse Thriller

The champion is already known (PSG Handball), as is the runner-up (HBC Nantes), but the most interesting battle in France is still being fought for third place. That position brings a place in the EHF Champions League next season, and for now it belongs to Montpellier, with Limoges still applying pressure.

The two-time EHF Champions League winners defeated Toulouse 29:28 in the derby of the round and will enter the final matchday with a one-point advantage. Montpellier will face Nîmes, while Limoges travel to Nantes.

Toulouse came very close to a major upset, leading 28:27 in the 56th minute, but the closing stages belonged to the home side.
