GROS RETIRED: Nora Mørk Next in Line for 1.000, Henny Reistad Coming for Every Record

Ana Gros ended her professional career with an appearance at the EHF Champions League Final4 in Budapest.
The outstanding Slovenian played her final minutes in the jersey of French side Brest Bretagne Handball, who finished fourth at the tournament in the MVM Dome after defeats against Győri Audi ETO KC and CSM Bucuresti.
Gros also became the fifth and final player to cross the magical milestone of 1,000 goals in the EHF Champions League.
Before her, only Cristina Neagu, Jovanka Radičević, Andrea Lekić and Anita Görbicz had achieved that feat.
It was the third time that the 27-year-old shooter ended a Champions League season as the top scorer. She has already reached 827 goals in total in the EHF Champions League. As things stand, two or three more strong seasons could be enough for her to leave an unforgettable mark in this category as well.
For comparison, Ana Vyakhireva, who was the competition’s top scorer last season, is four years older than Reistad and currently stands at 697 Champions League goals.
The next girl who can reach 1.000 mark is Nora Mork. The 35 years old right back scored 964 by now.
