BREST BRETAGNE NEW DESTINATION: Henny Reistad to leave Team Esbjerg after six seasons

Henny Reistad will leave Team Esbjerg at the end of the season after six years with the Danish powerhouse and will join French team Brest Bretagne!
The 27-year-old Norwegian superstar, widely regarded as the best female handball player in the world, joined Esbjerg from Vipers Kristiansand in 2021 and has since become one of the defining figures of the club.
Reistad has won three Danish league titles with Esbjerg and helped the team reach the EHF Champions League Final4 four consecutive times. On the international stage, she has also collected Olympic gold, two World Championship titles and three European Championship crowns with Norway.
Team Esbjerg coach Tomas Axnér praised Reistad not only for her performances on the court, but also for her leadership and influence on the team’s culture.
Her next destination has not yet been officially confirmed, but Reistad is strongly linked with a move to French giants Brest Bretagne Handball.
Before leaving Denmark, Reistad will have one final opportunity to chase the major club trophy still missing from her collection – the EHF Champions League title.
