Aalborg Håndbold sack Maik Machulla
Simon Dahl takes over the role of head coach, while Henrik Møllgaard becomes playing assistant coach.
Aalborg Handball has today decided to cease cooperation with head coach Maik Machulla, who joined the club this summer.
– The decision was made on the basis of several factors. First of all because we are not satisfied with the expression we have delivered in terms of playing, where we have not experienced the development and flow in our game that we have expected.
– In addition, we have seen signs of a lack of spark and joy in the playing squad, just as we have generally underperformed in relation to the material we have available, says director Jan Larsen.
– We are of course sorry that the collaboration did not turn out as hoped for by both parties, but conversely we also felt that we had reached a point where we had to act. We wish Maik all the best in the future, says Jan Larsen.
Assistant coach Simon Dahl takes over the role of head coach, while seasoned Henrik Møllgaard becomes playing assistant coach.
Aalborg Handball plays away on Sunday evening in the Men’s League against Grindsted GIF.
