Aalborg Håndbold sign 1-year deal with Anton Lindskog

The 32-year-old Anton Lindskog will join Aalborg Håndbold this summer from GOG, becoming the club’s new line player in the red jersey.

Anton Lindskog has represented GOG since 2023. Prior to that, he played for Bundesliga clubs SG Flensburg-Handewitt and HSG Wetzlar, having started his career in his native Sweden with IFK Kristianstad.

“With René Antonsen leaving yesterday for HBC Nantes, we acted quickly and secured a good agreement with Anton, whom we know very well from the Danish league over the past seasons.

“We therefore also know we are getting a strong, experienced and incredibly consistent player, who will fit perfectly in as a line player alongside Simon Hald and Felix Möller,” says Aalborg Håndbold team manager Martin Larsen.

Anton Lindskog himself is looking forward to coming to Aalborg and starting the next chapter of an impressive handball career.

“It’s a fantastic club to join, and it’s very motivating for me to enter into this agreement. It’s a club with an incredible number of great players, so I hope that with my experience I can contribute to us reaching our goals together.

“I’m looking forward to pulling the red jersey over my head and running out in front of the many thousands of fans at Sparekassen Danmark Arena. It will certainly be more fun than coming here as an opponent,” says Anton Lindskog, who currently has 29 caps and 13 goals for Sweden. In the domestic Herreliga this season, he has recorded 28 goals and 11 assists.

Aalborg Håndbold go into the winter break top of the Bambuni Herreliga with a perfect 36 points from the first 18 matches of the regular season. In the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, they currently sit second in Group A with 17 points from 10 matches, and in the cup competition they have qualified for the Final4 event at Boxen in Herning in February.
