AEK beat Olympiakos in Greek derby at the start of the season!

Opening round of the Greek championship brought the most interesting derby match between AEK and Olympiakos 25:22. The handball derby of Athens ended with the win of home zeam who had leader in Croatian left back Stipe Mandalinic, who scored nine goals.

Greek League will have 12 teams in the season 2022/2023.
