The third place match between Fuchse Berlin and AG Kobenhavn was more of a revial character, saw AG Kobenhavn domination throughout most of match, never letting Fuchse Berlin get close after the initial 20 minutes when it was 8-7 for AGK and has since dominated. In the end, AGK 26-21 Fuchse Berlin.
AG Kobenhavn starts the game strong taking a 3-0 lead thanks mostly to Kasper Hvidt brilliant saves, not letting Fuchse score in the first 5 minutes. Hansen’s second goal makes it 4-0 for AGK in the 9th minute, and Sigurdsson asks for a timeout. Finally Fuchse Berlin breaks the ice through Pevnov only in the 10th minute. Then comes another goal through Romero from penalty, and a two-minute suspension for Mikkel Hansen. The Foxes continue in the same manner, and through Petersson and Romero make it 4-4 in the 15th minute. Pevnov a minute later brings the first lead Fuchse Berlin, 5-4, follows, and the score in the 20th minute is 8-7 for AG Kobenhavn. A two-goal run through Larsen bring AGK to 10-7 lead in the 25th minute. By the end of the first half, the lead is only enlarged by 1 goal, the teams going at half-time with 13-9 for AG Kobenhavn.
The Berlin side is the one to open the 2nd half with a goal scoring through Christophersen. AGK don’t let the Berliner get close, and make it 16-11 in the 35th minute. Through Sigurdsson, AGK keep the lead steady now at 18-12 in the 40th minute. Ekberg scores for AGK’s to hold onto their highest lead, 19-13. Entering the final remaining 10 minutes, Fuchse Berlin attempt to make the game-ending more interesting, by making it 21-17 for AGK, but with brilliant goal by Sigurdsson it’s again huge +5 for AGK. The closest Fuchse got is 3 goals difference and couldn’t do more. Kvidt is magnificent on the goal, saving important penalty, and in the end AG Kobenhavn deservedly wins the 3rd place with 26-21.
