Alex Dujshebaev to miss EHF EURO 2022: My shoulder needs a rest

Alex Dujshebaev won’t be on the list of Jordi Ribera for upcoming Men’s EHF EURO 2022 in Hungary and Slovakia.

The 29-years old right back wrote on his Instagram about reasons for such a decision:

  • Feeling very sorry for what the National Team means to me, I will not be able to be with the #Hispanos in the European ’22. A very difficult decision for medical reasons only. After a year with hardly any rest, fighting for everything at club level and with the World Cup in January ’21 and the Olympics in August ’21, where I got to play undercover to fight for the dream of the Olympic medal, the doctors recommend that I stop in January to give my shoulder a rest. There we will begin a six-week rehabilitative treatment, the only solution that the doctors give me to avoid the operating room. All this, with the aim of recovering normality and extending my sports career. Since I heard this news, I am looking forward to working on the recovery to be 100% again and continue fighting for everything with the #Hispanos and the @kielcehandball. Thank you all for the messages of love! 💪🏼☺️
