Ali Zein for HP: Nothing is too far, but without fans would be very difficult

Spectacular draw event has ended in Giza, where 32 teams got their rivals for the upcoming Men’s IHF World Championship 2021 in January. Experienced Egyptian left back Ali Zein has talked for Handball-Planet.com about chances of his team in front (or not) home fans in the tournament which should be held between 13 and 31 of January.

  • We have a good group. We did a good choice with group G. I am curious to see how it will going on. It is really tough to predict anything. I hope that we can reach quarter-final. In this group of teams are Denmark, France, Spain, Norway…

How far is Egypt from the medal podium?

  • In handball nothing is too far. We have a good generation of players, guys with huge experience, maybe we can make something. It will be difficult without fans, like as we play out of the country. That will decrease our strength of course, but we are believe in the best scenery.

Who is the best team in the moment in world of handball?

  • The strongest team in the world are Denmark and Norway. If I have to choose one, that could be Norway. They are very strong – said the 30-years old Ali Zein after draw ceremony.

Egypt will face Sweden, Czech Republic and team from South America.
