The All-Star team of the EHF Champions League was revealed this afternoon, ahead of the tournament’s final weekend in Budapest. These are the best 7, the best defender, young player and coach of the season:
Goalkeeper: Kari Aalvik Grimsbø – Győri Audi ETO KC
Left wing: Siraba Dembélé – Rostov Don
Left back: Cristina Neagu – CSM București
Centre back: Veronica Kristiansen – FC Midtjylland
Right back: Ana Gros – Metz Handball
Right wing: Iuliia Managarova – Rostov Don
Line player: Dragana Cvijić – HC Vardar
Young player: Tjasa Stanko – RK Krim Mercator
Defender: Zsuzsanna Tomori – Győri Audi ETO KC
Coach: Ambros Martín – Győri Audi ETO KC
Kristiansen, Gros, Tomori (injured) and Stanko are the only ones who will not be on court this weekend in Budapest. Martín, who will sit on Győr’s bench for the last time this year, has made the shortlist for the fourth time in a row. While there are six debutants in the final election, Neagu, Dembélé and Grimsbø all know what is like to be among the best of the season as they’ve we all present in previous editions.
