Serbian star from Gyor, Andrea Lekic believes that her team can make the best chapter of club’s history by winning the Women’s EHF Champions League against Larvik HK on Saturday in „Veszprem Arena“ (15.15):
– We have to be careful before the second match. Scandi girls don’t make a difference between playing at home or abroad. They showed that in the semi-final against Krim in Ljubljana. They know how to deal with the pressure. That isn’t surprise for me, because they are very experienced team – says Andrea for Handball-Planet.com before the historical match:
– I don’t even think about our +3. That could be mistake. Three goals are reachable quickly. I don’t want to say that we don’t have advantage, but that three goals could be also some kind of problem for us.
Is the right time that Gyor finally won the most prestigious trophy? How you deal with the „black final history“ of the club?
– Nobody speak about that. I don’t want to waste my time and think about that kind of things. One day every „black series“ has to be over. I hope that will be on May 11.

– Hungarians are huge handball fanatics. Many people slept in front of the hall to buy the tickets. I expecting noisy hall. I don’t like to speak too much before the matches, to guarantee or promise, because that isn’t too smart in sports. We are ready for the trophy, but let’s wait Saturday, some minute after 17hrs to see, whether „Arena“ will be all green and white. EHF CL trophy would be the biggest satisfaction for all what I am doing since my handball beginnings – concludes Lekić.
