Always interesting, Danish handball legend, Anja Andersen, now is in position of the coach of Romanian Oltchim Valcea, talked about his wishes in Romania for Prosport.com:
– It have been very easy for me to come here and win the Champions League, but I want more. I want to leave something behind. Football was the sport number one in Denmark, but we have started to win trophies, to bring the audience into the hall, and now become the national sport of handball.
“Victory can make it happen: I think it’s possible to take football to handball.
“There are many teams that have incredible potential, but have not done anything just because they did not have the patience.
“I said this: Oltchim can win the Champions League. Not this year but next season! If we succeed from the first season will be incredible, but the plan is for the upcoming year.
“Guardiola is my favorite coach! In a year and a half, Oltchim will play handball as Barcelona play football.

Anja is the best coach ever! I’m from Romania and I received with great sorrow the news that she was fired from Oltchim. I’m so sorry that leaders from Oltchim proved so untrustworthy and that they understood nothing of her vision. I admire and I respect her very much, like all roumanians hanball fans.The only ones who understand her vision and really loved her in Romania were the fans, the Romanian supporters. Too bad it does not put them in one account, too bad that their opinion does not matter.
