Another voice for “shot-clock”, Dragan Djukic: Handball has to go to the next step!

Story about shot-clock or time limited attack in handball, has more and more supporters among the TOP handball coaches. The last voice was heard from Israeli NT head-coach Dragan Djukic. Former PICK Szeged and RK Vardar coach, who led Great Britain at Olympic Games in London, but also Swiss and Macedonian NT, has same opinion as Alfred Gislason, Gudmundur Gudmundsson or Lino Červar…

– If handball want to survive in competition with other sports has to change some things, this is not a question this is fact! As soon as we do it, we will become more global game, without this we will lose the step with other sports. If we have a “time limited attack” that open a lot of tactical things not just in attack! For example if team lose during the game and want to turn result, has to find the way to take the ball from opponent even before opponent shot. That open lot of new tactical solutions, maybe like open defense etc etc. And I really cannot understand why officials “don’t listen” more opinion of the world best coaches in modern time. Handball has to go to the next step; there is no time to wait – said Djukic in an interview for Szeged’s web radio.
