Several media across Europe wrote about the possibility that Arpad Sterbik extends his professional career in Telekom Veszprem. Handball-Planet.com finds out that 38-years old goalie who is still on the TOP of handball world, signed two years deal with the best Hungarian team from summer 2018.
Legendary goalkeeper who began his career with winning EHF Challenge Cup in 2001 with small Serbian team RK Jugovic Kac, made his name on international stage as a member of Hungarian Veszprem, who played with him in the first EHF Champions League final.
After Veszprem, Sterbik’s station was Spain, where he made the biggest successes in his professional career. That he is still world-class goalie, Sterbik showed in the last season, when RK Vardar Skopje won EHF Champions League in Cologne.
It is hard to believe that Veszprem won’t be the last station on Sterbik’s professional road.
Veszprem’s goalie which contract will expire next summer is Mirko Alilovic. His “destiny” is still unknown.
