Austrian Handball Federation has signed new five years contract with current NT head-coach Patrekur Johannesson. Successful story, which began in summer 2011, is extended until 2020! Icelandic coach came on Austrian bench after bad performance at WCh 2011 in Sweden, gave a chance to some new players and made success with 11th place at EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark and qualification for the WCh 2015 in Qatar.
– My goal is to give maximum, work further on our system and to play better handball. We will integrate some new players in our system – said Patrekur, who has nice potential in generation 1994, which played at home U20 EURO 2014 last summer.
