Serbia got the organization of the Women’s European Championship scheduled for December 2012, and some of the games and the final will be played in the Belgrade Arena, but which now rebranded itself, and is now called “Kombank Arena”. On the public bidding, the “Komercijalna Banka” won the right to have the biggest Serbian sports hall named after the bank.
The Men’s European Championship last year brought us 300,000 visitors, and has been considered one of the best organized in handball sports, words of Tor Lian, EHF President.
