Bjorgvin Pal Gustavson has been dissapointed with the Icelandic performance at EHF EURO 2024 at the mix zone of Lanxess Arena. Iceland needed victory with 5 and more goals to finish ahead of Austria and take place at Olympic qualifications, but at the end was only 26:24.
- Yes, we are very dissapointed as it was close tournament. You have three best teams Denmark, France and Sweden, but after that very tight tournament from position 5 to 24. Dissapointing tournament for us – said Icelandic team’s captain.
