DHB vice-president and definitely one of the most powerful persons in German handball, Bob Hanning, doesn’t believe that handball will be played in the season 2019/2020.
- I don’t expect it anymore. Players need four to six weeks of preparation to minimize the risk of injury. Almost all players are at home. Then they would have to come back again. But those who currently arrive in Tegel or Schönefeld from abroad are obliged to go into a 14-day domestic quarantine. In this way precious time would be lost again. Big events will surely only be approved as the very last thing – said Hanning.
