THW Kiel is on their way to defend the Bundesliga title they won last season after the most serious contenders Rhein-Neckar Loewen and SG Flensburg-Handewitt lost their respective games.
THW Kiel in their home game against HBW Balingen had trouble only in the first 40 minutes of the game, with HBW Balingen leading at half time 17:16. However, with superb play and great defence in the final 20 minutes of the game, in the end THW Kiel turned the game in their favor, winning 33:25.
In one of the derby’s of the round, Fuchse Berlin had more than easy task against Rhein-Neckar Loewen. The Mannheim side were worthy opponent in the first 20 minutes of the game, but in the next 25 minutes, Fuchse Berlin had such a great attack and even better Heinevetter on the goal, that at one point they had 11 goals lead. In the end, Gudmundsson’s men managed to get it down to 6 goals defeat, 32:26 for the “Foxes.
