The hero of the fantastic Croatian success at Women’s EHF EURO 2020, first ever placement in the medal’s battle, goalkeeper Tea Pijevic, was delighted with the achievement of her team in Kolding, where they ended second in the Main Round Group behind Norway.
- We wrote the new chapter of the history of Croatian sport. The Women’s handball in Croatia is finally alive. I am so proud on my team-mates and coaching staff. In the second half, we played so good in defense that I could easily sit on the bench and watch the game. It was amazing – said Pijevic after win against Germany 23:20.
Croatia will meet France in the battle for the first ever EURO Final.
