The new German national team coach, Dagur Sigurdsson (41), ahead of the his debut as coach against the Switzerland, has decided that the current captain, Uwe Gensheimer, deserves to remain national team captain. The 27-year has so far 90 caps. “I’m delighted to have been given the trust by Dagur, and I know that I have to manage a very good team with strong personalities”, said Gensheimer on the honour.
