Denmark Become the First Semi-Finalists of EHF EURO 2026
Denmark are the first team to book a place in the semi-finals of EHF EURO 2026.
The hosts defeated Germany 31:26 in the final match of the third round of the main round, securing a spot among the four best teams in Europe with one round still to play.
In front of 15,000 spectators at BOXEN in Herning, Denmark produced a fast, free-scoring display and continued their unbeaten run against Germany throughout the eras of Nikolaj Jacobsen and Alfred Gislason.
Pytlick and Gidsel led the scoring with eight goals each, Emil Nielsen recorded 14 saves, while Renars Uščins was the top scorer for Germany with six goals.
Denmark, as group winners, will face the runner-up from the Malmö group in the semi-final, while Germany and France will decide the other semi-finalist in a direct clash on Wednesday.
