DHB Super Cup: Germany and Slovenia win openers

Germany and Slovenia celebrated opening wins at DHB Super Cup start in Flens Arena in Flensburg. The host team beat easily Brazil 29:20 (15:12) in the first match of the tournament in front of only 3.000 fans. However, Dagur Sigurdsson guys were focused from the first till the last moment of the match.

Captain Uwe Gensheimer netted seven goals which put him on the TOP of scorers list, while Brazilian playmaker Da Silva scored four for his team.

It was more interesting to see match between Balkan guys – Slovenia and Serbia 23:21 (12:10). Slovenians made 11:4 at the start, but then stayed without a single goal for 19 minutes, when Serbian “Eagles” made turnover on 15:14. However, the 8th team from the last World Championship 2015 in Qatar had better finish. Veselin Vujovic squad made 3:0 in decisive moments from 20:18 to 23:18 to secure victory.
