Even though he is only 25 years old, Kim Ekdahl du Rietz is in quite a bad period in his handball career. Ahead of the qualification phase for the European Championship for Poland 2016, Swedish left back had to announce that he is quitting the international career.
– I have problems with my knees. A part of it inside is constantly under pressure, which makes me feel great pain. It was not easy to make this decision, but I just had to – were Kim’s words after announcing the decision.
Swedish coach Olsson said he’s sad to hear the decision, but that he respects it.
