EHF CL 25/26: Strong start for Wisla and Kielce – “Old Berlin” in Nantes

On the second day of the opening round, four matches were played, producing two home wins and two away wins.
Wisła Płock confirmed its status as a team capable of much, with stars like Richardson, Bergerud, and Kosorotov leading the way. They opened their campaign with a dramatic 34:33 away win over Pick Szeged in Hungary.
Füchse Berlin bounced back after a poor start under their new coach. The German champions showed their strength once again against French side Nantes, winning 40:34 in a replay of last season’s Final4 semifinal.
FC Barcelona had a routine performance against Danish side GOG, winning 37:32, while the most convincing display came from Industria Kielce, who defeated Norwegian debutants Kolstad 38:27, thanks to a superb showing from Slovenian goalkeeper Klemen Ferlin (15 saves, 44%).
