EHF CL: Aalborg, Kiel and Nantes reach quater-finals

While THW Kiel repeated the win in Hungary seven days ago – 33:28 (18:15), Aalborg and Nantes made it in a very dramatic way! Porto had a great chance to make history in Danemark, but Areia couldn’t score in the very last seconds. Portuguese failed from seven meters just two minutes earlier, so Aalborg celebrated 27:24 (10:9) victory and reached the final eight due to more away goals (1st leg 32:29).

Nantes shocked Lomza Vive Kielce in Poland 31:34 (13:15), the first game in France 24:25, thanks to insane performances by Aymeric Minne, Emil Nielsen, Valero Rivera, Alexandre Cavalcanti, Dragan Pechmalbec and Kiril Lazarov in the end. Macedonian superstar played incredible last 15 minutes of the game. This evening, he became the player with the most games ever in the EHF Champions League (251).

THW Kiel will most probably play against PSG, Aalborg against Flensburg Handewitt, while Nantes will face Telekom Veszprem side.
