For Naturhouse La Rioja a victory was a must in the home encounter against Aalborg from Denmark if they wanted to keep their chances of progressing to the L16 phase, and they have delivered it. La Rioja went with 13:10 lead at half time, but Aalborg never gave up, and with Jakobssen‘s guidance managed to get even the lead few times. However, with Aalborg losing 23:24, La Rioja found their hero in Jorge Martinez, who managed to save the shots from Aalborg, and then a final victory of 25:23 came.
Naturhouse are now level points with the final spot that leads to the L16 phase, with two more games to go for each team.
