THW Kiel gave Veszprem their first defeat this season in the Champions League in a very dominant way. Led by brilliant Thierry Omeyer on the goal, and almost perfect attack and counter-attacks, the German Champions were able to humiliate Veszprem by beating them 32:21.
Chekhovski Medvedi had a nice lead of around 4-5 goals with 10 minutes to go, but Montpellier fought back and in the end took a lucky point which moves them on the 4th place now just one more than Ademar Leon.
Bjerringbro-Silkeborg also had a very exciting home game against Gorenje and with Lauge’s goal in 59th minute and 59th second, they secured a home win with 27:26, which now makes Gorenje most likely to finish third place if Metalurg are to beat Bjerringbro at home next weekend.
Atletico Madrid had not much trouble and beat 32:25 at home against IK Savehof, and secured them the third place in the group.
