The qualification game between Slovenia and Ukraine that took place in Slovenia had rather ugly fight between the players of these two teams. The EHF have finally issued fines following the proceedings opened after the game. Slovenian Federation has been fined 10,000 EUR for failing to maintain security and good order during the match, while both teams are fined 5,000 EUR for unsportsmanlike conduct of their players.
