EHF opens proceedings against Samsonenko!

The EHF Court of Handball has opened proceedings against the Mr Sergey Samsonenko, President of the Macedonian club RK Vardar-Skopje for derogatory statements in the media.

During a press conference following the match of the 2013/14 VELUX EHF Champions League Quarter-final (2nd leg): HC Vardar-Skopje (MKD) vs. SG Flensburg-Handewitt (GER), which took place in Skopje, Macedonia, on April 26, 2014, Mr Samsonenko questioned the independency and impartiality of the EHF referees.

After examination of the claim and of the related documents sent by the Initiator of proceedings, the President of the EHF Court of Handball confirmed the admissibility of the request according to the EHF Legal Regulations.

Mr Samsonenko has been asked to provide a statement and any information relating to the claim by 19 May 2014.
